The book, Staring Miss Barbara Stanwyck, is a winner just like the Lady herself. A great read, great about the golden years in film and her years on the small screen. If you have a chance, this is a must read, just as Miss Stanwyck is a must watch when they have her work on TV.4/4(21). The book contains rumors of which Hollywood star was having an affair Stanwyck book another, which frankly doesn't matter 80 years later.

Madsen also gives short shrift (under 4 pages) to the 4 years Madsen dwells too much on the doomed marriage Stanwyck had with the abusive Frank Fey and speculates too much on the reasons her later marriage with Robert /5.
